Amirantes Islands - Seychelles
Seychelles' 115 islands fall under two distinct groups. The tall granite, Inner Islands cluster mainly within the relatively shallow Seychelles' plateau, 4° south of the equator and roughly 1800 km distance from the east coast of Africa while the low-lying coralline cays, atolls and reef islands of the Outer Islands lie mainly beyond the plateau up to 10° south of the equator.
The Seychelles Outer Islands are divided into five groups: the Amirantes group lying roughly 125 nautical miles from Mahé.
The Southern Coral Group, Alphonse Group, Farquhar Group and finally the Aldabra Group, some 1150km from Mahé. There are a total of 72 coralline Outer Islands.
The Amirantes is, for us, the most popular fishing destination that all our clients have at the top of their bucket list.

A typical Itinerary to the Amirantes will look a bit like this; keep in mind that we follow the fish so we may end up staying in one place longer than listed below
Day 1 : Arrive at Eden Island Marina
Board the yacht and set sail in the afternoon
Day 2 - 3: African Banks & Remire
This sand bank is where your fishing journey begins.
Day 4 - 5 : D'Arros and Saint Jo's
This area is so diverse and is a favourite of all types of fishermen. It's great for flyfishing, jigging and popping.
Day 6 - 7: Poivre & Descroches
On the final day (7) the skipper will set sail to arrive back at Mahe on Day 8. This will conclude your 7-night fishing trip in the Amirantes.
